Blessed 20cm Winning Daruma from Katsuo-ji in Osaka, Japan.

The history of winning luck goes back to the Heian period.

The 6th head priest, Yukimune, cured Emperor Seiwa's illness with prayers and demonstrated his achievements. However, the temple side came to call it 'Katsuo-ji Temple' with 'O' as 'tail' because it was too fearful. Since then, the mountain has been widely worshiped as a “temple of good luck” and has a long history of visits by successive generations of shoguns and warlords, including the Genji and Ashikaga clan, to pray for good luck.

In modern times, it is worshiped as a "temple that wins in all aspects of life" such as exams, warding off evil, illness, sports, business, elections, and performing arts, and its history has been passed down for 1,300 years.

"Winning", which Katsuo-ji has long conveyed, does not mean defeating others.

Fall down and get up, fall down and get up, overcome yourself.
"The spirit of falling seven times and getting up eight" The spirit and the history of the belief in winning luck have been formed.
This is called "winning Daruma".

(Goals) - Write your goals on the back of the daruma, a wish you want to achieve in the coming year.

Pledge to yourself that you will spare no effort to achieve your goals without compromising, and fill in one eye on the right eye (left side) of the Daruma.

If your wish comes true, you will put an eye in the Daruma's left eye (on the right side) as a proof that you have achieved your goal.
